As we begin this new year, you may have already set some goals for what you’d like life to be like, for the things you want to experience, and for any changes you’d like to make.

Keep this in mind: commitment is the currency of success.

You make a commitment by going all-in until completion, not just one time, but daily. Once a commitment is made, you must re-commit to it each and every day, assuming you still want it, in order to remain on course.

There will be moments, and entire days, where you fall out of integrity with what you said you wanted. I know I’ve definitely been there. That’s ok. Forgive yourself, get clear on whether or not you still want it, remind yourself of why you’re doing this, and make the best choices you can given the situation at hand.

Fear is a ghost. Remember this: fear only exists in your mind. You’ve been allowing this feeling that isn’t even real to hold you back.

The only fears that we are born with are the fear of falling and the fear of loud noises. Everything else is something we make up.

There are two types of fears: Rational fears and Irrational fears.

Rational fears are life or death type of fears. For example, being afraid of walking a tightrope between two skyscrapers without any net to catch you if you fall is a logical fear to have if you prefer to continue living. Rational fears are helpful and ensure survival.

Irrational fears are fears that have nothing to do with actual survival. Some examples include: being afraid to speak in front of other people, not asking the person you find attractive out on a date because what if they say “no,” not pursuing your dreams and passions because what if it doesn’t work out? These types of fears are based on perceived danger, not actual danger, and they keep you playing small in your life.

Once you do the thing you’re irrationally afraid of you will feel free, liberated, and willing to face your fears again next time. Each time going a little bit further, and pushing your comfort zone and boundaries to new heights. The end result is you become more and more confident and competent at what you’re doing. 
 
Your life is your movie. If you want your movie to be an action, comedy, romantic, thriller, drama, adventure experience, then do the things that you’re irrationally afraid of. Feel the fear and do it anyway. Remember that courage is not the absence of fear; courage means you’re afraid and you do it anyway because you’re more afraid of what may happen if you don’t do it.

I strongly encourage you to make your life a beautiful shining example of what’s possible when you live from love and abundance, rather than fear and scarcity. The choice is ultimately up to you. How do you know if your partner is “the one” for you? If you love this person, and you want this relationship to thrive, keep reading.

You decide that they are the one for you. Read that again. 

Think about this. There are almost 8 billion people on the planet. You would be extremely compatible and happy with, likely, hundreds of thousands, if not, millions of people. The quest for a relationship is not about finding the perfect person or about making sure that no one else out there could potentially be ‘better.’

It’s about finding the perfect person for you, flaws and all. It’s not about finding the person with no baggage; it’s about finding the person who you deeply connect with, and you’d love to help them unpack; The person that brings the best out of you, encourages your growth, makes you feel special (because you are), is committed to you, and who you can be yourself with.

If you’re with your partner and you’re feeling confused and that something seems blocked, give this a try.

Immediately begin celebrating your love, celebrating that person, celebrating everything about your relationship as if your partner is the one for you. Go all in. Live to light him or her up, shower your partner with complements and affection, notice all the things he or she is doing and how he or she is showing up in the world.

Do these things and observe how your experience of your relationship shifts from confusion to an overflow of love, excitement, giddiness, passion, and a knowingness that this is the person for you because you choose him or her. The choice is yours. I hope this serves you, and I wish you an intentional, exciting, meaningful, and beautiful week.

Hear me: You are so much greater than your bank account, your social status, your profession, your possessions, etc. You are perfect, whole, and complete exactly as you are. You were born as a priceless manifestation of the divine, and nothing will ever change that.

Money is a great and useful tool for the exchange of goods and services. That’s it. It’s horrible for making you feel peaceful, worthy, enough, and validated. Only you can give yourself those gifts (And even when you think money is giving you those things, you’re simply projecting your own power onto money).

Some people with millions and billions of dollars spend their days constantly worrying and stressing about all of the ways they might lose their money, other very financially wealthy people take their own life; And here you may be thinking more money will bring you emotional peace and everything you’ve ever wanted.

Why does this occur? Because when people try and get from money that which they can only ever receive from themselves, they lose every time. I’ve had clients with millions of dollars in the bank struggling with their life, and clients living paycheck to paycheck struggling to get by. What they have in common is their internal experience has nothing to do with the money. 

Money is good for getting ‘stuff’ and affording certain experiences. There is nothing wrong with money; it’s a neutral tool. If you want more of it, go for it. Provide as much value as you can and get as much as you’d like. Just remember what money is actually good for, take ownership and responsibility for your internal experience of life, and know that you are enough. Always have been; always will be. I love you.
